The University of Mary Washington is currently undergoing a technology transition which will introduce a web-based intranet and portal environment called EagleNet to replace the previous Eaglelink portal, Shared ("S") Drive and Personal ("H") Drives. Utilizing Microsoft’s SharePoint software, EagleNet will also provide space for personal web publishing, document sharing and better collaboration.
The Department of Information Technology will determine how and when EagleNet shapes up. To ensure that the Finance staff is prepared for this transition, Allyson Moerman has developed the Strategy EagleNet/SharePoint Team ("Strategy ESP") to learn SharePoint and make some decisions about how the Finance Department will use this technology. The Functional EagleNet/SharePoint Team ("Functional ESP") will assist the Strategy ESP with testing and deployment of various aspects of EagleNet.
