2011-2012 Financial Aid Checklist

      • File the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) at www.fafsa.gov
      • Review the Student Aid Report or SAR received from the Department of Education to ensure the application is complete and accurate.
      • Click here to read the Financial Aid General Information for 2011-2012.
      • Log on to your EagleNet Student portal to determine required documents requested by the Office of Financial Aid.  These may include such items as parent tax returns, verification worksheets, entrance counseling or master promissory note.  Instructions can be found at the Financial Aid tab ‘EagleNet Instructions – Viewing Your Financial Aid Award‘.  Requested documents can be found at the Financial Aid tab ’2011-2012 Loan Instructions and Forms’ and should be submitted to the Office of Financial Aid within two weeks from the time they are requested. 
      • UMW packages student loans for all students who complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) have completed required paperwork.  Students who do not wish to accept their loans should send an email from their UMW account or drop off a hand written, signed and dated letter stating how much, if any, of the loans the student wishes to accept.
