MVP HR Policy & Law – Fair Labor Standards Act

Only the Overtime Compensation Requirements module must be completed.

Access: For your convenience, you may access the content online in the Learning Center.
To access UMW Global:

 Go to https://covlc.virginia.gov.

Browser:   In general, the system works best with Firefox or Chrome.  The one exception that I have found is the FLSA course; Internet Explorer is the only program that I’ve been able to get the quiz to work in.

Assessment:   To be able to submit the quiz, make sure that you have made these changes:

  • Turn on the Menu Bar (if it’s not).  Right-click in the menu area at the top.  Make sure that there is a check next to Menu Bar.
  • Make sure that the site is a trusted site.  Tools > Internet Options > Security > Trusted Sites > Sites> Add covlc.virginia.gov in the box if it is not already there.
  • Allow pop-ups:  Tools > Pop-Up Blocker > Pop-Up Blocker Settings > Add covlc.virginia.gov in the box if it is not already there.
  • Use the Compatibility View:  When you are logged in to UMW Global > Tools > Compatibility View

Log in, using your UMW Global credentials. The credentials that you use may not be the same as the credentials used for email, etc.
