Professional development can come in many different shapes and sizes. Some people develop best through organized training courses, others through personal research and discovery, and still others need more personalized assistance to get them going. Through this program, all different development options are made available to faculty and staff. The Management Assistance Program allows specific departmental needs to be addressed, the available personal assessment tools give employees the opportunity for self discovery and toolkits aim to assess the employee who wants a practical approach to solving common issues. Throughout the life of the program, periodic surveys will be conducted to capture input from employees about development needs that might not otherwise be heard and a reference list will be maintained to give employees quick resource information.
