Edit Your Homepage

You may change the layout of the panes on the My Homepage page using the Customize link, or by dragging the panes to different locations on the Homepage.

To rearrange the panes using Drag / Drop:

  1. Hover the mouse cursor over a panel until the cursor turns into the drag-and-drop icon (a hand).
  2. Click and hold down the left mouse button while using the mouse to drag the pane to the desired location.
  3. Release the left mouse button and the pane will drop into the location you indicated.

Customize Your Homepage

Customize allows you to select which panes are displayed on the homepage and the order in which they display.

  1. Click the Customize link.
  2. ‚The Edit Homepage screen will appear.
  3. ƒSelect the number of columns you want displayed on your homepage.
  4. „Click Go. The number of columns that you chose are displayed with the appropriate number of menus (representing each pane on the “My Homepage” page) in each column.
  5. …From each menu, select the panethat you want displayed.Note: See the Explanation for Panes section for an explanation of each of the panes.
  6. †Click Save.
  7. ‡Click Return to go back to your homepage. The page displays the new layout.

Explanations for Panes

Below are explanations for each of the panes that may display on the Homepage. Depending on the system’s configuration, and depending on selections you have made on the Edit Homepage page, all of the panes explained below may not be displayed, or may be displayed in a different order.

Announcements

Five most recently added announcements for which you have View permission. Click the title to access the Details page for the announcement.Click the “More…” link in the system to access the Announcements Simple Search page.

Blogs

Five blogs you have accessed most recently. Click the title of the blog to access the Details page for it.Click the “More…” link in the system to access the Blogs Simple search page.

Collaboration Spaces

Five collaboration spaces you have most recently accessed. If you have not joined any spaces, a message displays indicating this. Click the title of a collaboration space to access the Details page for the collaboration space.Click the “More…” link in the system to access the Collaboration Spaces Simple search page.Note: If the title is not a link, then you may need an authorized user to give you the appropriate permission to access the collaboration space.

Curriculums

Five curriculums in which you have most recently enrolled that are not completed. Click the title to access the Details page for the curriculum.Click the “More…” link in the system to access the Curriculums table on your “My Learning Plan” page.

Distribution Lists

Five distribution lists most recently added by you. Click the title of a distribution list to view information about it.Click the “More…” link in the system to access your “My Contacts” page (contains your Distribution Lists).

Documents

Five documents you have most recently accessed. Click the title of the document to access the Details page for it. Click the “More…” link in the system to access the Documents Simple search page.

My Contacts

Five contacts most recently added by you. Click the name of the contact to view information about them.Click the “More…” link in the system to access your “My Contacts” page.Note:   If a user you recently added becomes inactive, they will no longer display in this area.

My Functions

First five functions listed on your “My Functions” page. Click the title to access the function.Click the “More…” link in the system to access your “My Functions” page.

My Shortcuts

Five shortcuts most recently added by you. Click the title of the item to access the Details page for it (if the title is a link). Note: For reports, clicking the title displays the report’s criteria page (you enter criteria and then run the report), not the actual report.Click the “More…” link in the system to access your “My Shortcuts” page.

Online Courses

Five online courses in which you have most recently enrolled that are not completed. The date you started each online course also displays. Click the title to access the Details page for the course.Click the “More…” link in the system to access the Online Courses table on your “My Learning Plan” page.

Bundles

The five bundles that you have most recently accessed that are not completed (with the most recently accessed bundle at the top of the list). Click the title to access the Details page for the bundle.Click the “More…” link in the system to access the Bundles Simple search page.

Subscriptions

The five subscriptions that you have most recently accessed that are not expired (with the most recently accessed subscription at the top of the list). Click the title to access the Details page for the subscription.Click the “More…” link in the system to access the Subscriptions Simple search page.

Required Training

This area is divided into three sections: Due in a Week, Due in a Month and Due Later. Each section contains items that are assigned to you that you have not completed. Also displayed are your status for the content and the type of content. Click the title of the item to open it (if the title is a link). Note: Once given a required training assignment, you interact with the content item as you would from any search in the system. You are not automatically enrolled in courses or automatically made a member of a collaboration space.Click the “More…” link in the system to access the Required Training table on your “My Learning Plan” page.

Scheduled Training

Five current classroom course sections in which you are enrolled. The dates and times indicate when the course section meets.Click the “More…” link in the system to access the Scheduled Training table on your “My Learning Plan” page.
