President Paino asked the Leadership Council to review the results of the faculty staff engagement assessment and community forums and recommend action steps for his consideration. The Council invited Leadership UMW 2017 participants to an afternoon long session on November 16, 2016 to focus on university practices in the areas of greatest opportunity as listed below. Throughout their discussions they gave attention to eliminating bureaucracy, building a respectful community, accountability for performance and opportunities to encourage innovation and change.
