After the Closing Date

Once the advertisement closes, the process of selecting candidates to interview takes place – and culminates in the final selection of a candidate to fill your position.

 1. The Hiring Manager screens the applications and sends the final Screening Sheet to HR for review (within 10 business days from closing). HM 10 days
 2. HR releases the candidate pool for interviews (within 3 business days). HR 3 days
 3. The Hiring Manager updates careers for those selected for interview. HM HM Determines
 4. The Hiring Manager completes the Interviews and a selection is made; reference checks are done (10 business days). HM 10 days
 5. The Hiring Manager submits search documentation to HR. HM HM Determines
 6. HR confirms the hiring salary and start date (within 1 business day). HR 1 day
 7. The Hiring Manager makes the verbal offer and submits the new hire authorization document to HR. HM HM Determines
 8. HR completes the background check (within 5 business days). The Hiring Manager is advised if exceptions are needed. HR 5 days
 9. Prior to the offer letter being sent, the Hiring Manager must update careers with the status of final decisions of all candidates. HM HM Determines
10. HR sends the offer letter (within 2 business days). HR 2 days
A/P Faculty
1. The Hiring Manager screens the applications. HM HM Determines
  2. HR certifies and releases the candidate pool for interviews (within 1-2 business days). HR 1 – 2 days
  3. The Hiring Manager updates careers for those selected for interview. HM HM Determines
 4. The Hiring Manager completes the Interviews and a selection is made; reference checks are done (10 business days). HM 10 days
 5. The Hiring Manager submits search documentation to HR. HM HM Determines
 6. HR confirms the hiring salary and start date (within 2 business days). HR 2 days
 7. The Hiring Manager makes the verbal offer and submits the new hire authorization document to HR. HM HM Determines
