UMW participates in a few procurement-related events each year. All members of the UMW community are encouraged to attend.

UMW Annual Supplier Expo

Since 2016, UMW’s Procurement Services Department has hosted an annual Supplier Expo in March. This event is an opportunity for both buyers and vendors from UMW and other agencies to strengthen existing relationships and make new contacts for a varied group of goods and services. We will begin planning for the 6th annual Expo in the fall of 2020*.

Annual SWaMfest

Every year VASCUPP sponsors an event called SWaMfest. SWaMfest is the premier networking, educational, and professional development event for small, micro,  women-owned, and minority-owned businesses where you can explore the latest products and services from hundreds of SWaM businesses; engage with decision-makers from VASCUPP institutions, prime contractors, and corporations; and attend exciting showcase workshops and networking opportunities. VASCUPP is committed to helping Virginia’s SWaM businesses remain strong, vibrant, and successful while connecting them to our purchasing power.
