Quick Guide Description Audience
Approve Change Requests Timesheet change requests are submitted to supervisors when:

  • Employees do not have edit abilities and require changes to their timesheet for incorrect or missed punches.
  • Employees require changes to their submitted Requests for Time Off
  • For employees with multiple supervisors, the Change Request will route to all supervisors simultaneously.

Approve Requests for Time Off

Supervisors can approve time off requests in a variety of ways. It may be necessary for supervisors to edit the employee timesheets for those who do not have edit capability.

This document will show you how to:

  • Review, approve/reject leave requests
  • Edit timesheets to remove the  prepopulated scheduled working time (exempt positions)
  • Request leave for those who are unable to do so.

Approve Timesheets Timesheets submitted by the employee or via the timesheet workflow must be approved by the supervisor. This quick guide explains how to:

  • View, approve or reject timesheets 
  • View and manage missing punches using the Missing Punches widget

Bell Icon – My Mailbox The MyTime Mailbox contains the My To Do Items tab and the My Notifications tab. These tabs contain information based on your role within the system.

  • My To Do Items tab lists task for supervisors
  • My Notifications tab contains system generated payroll messaging for all employees.

Dashboard Icons

Dashboard icons are located across the top of the  Home tab for all employees and included on the Team tab for supervisors.

The Icons are organized links to access personal information, timekeeping tasks and reporting/query functionalities.

Delegation

Supervisors can delegate all approval tasks to another supervisor.

Approvals include timesheet Approvals, Change Requests, and Time Off Requests.

Notification alerts to the Grand Supervisor and To Do tasks are based on a hierarchical structure and predefined workflows.

Request Time Off This Guide includes instructions for two methods of Leave Requests from the MyTime Dashboard.

  • Leave Requests populate the timesheet once approved, but do not replace existing schedules or time entries. Exempt positions will need to remove the prepopulated scheduled time.
  • Requests can be edited or deleted by the employee prior to the day of leave occurrence.

The Clock Widget

The Clock widget is located on the Dashboard Home tab and will be used by all employees who manage their hours within MyTime.

Use the Clock widget to:

  • Clock In and Out (non-exempt, wage and students)
  • View your timesheet
  • Use the Tranfer to Clock In to a second or third job
  • Clock widget provides information on current Clock In or Out times, timesheet status, punch and errors

Timesheet Change Request Change Requests are used when:

  • The timesheet requires changes for those who do not have edit permissions
  • Posted Leave on the timesheet requires deletion
