How to Sell UMW Merchandise
Retailers interested in selling UMW merchandise must use licensed manufacturers. All products bearing University marks must have prior approval from licensing prior to production. Protected marks include “University of Mary Washington,” “UMW”, “Mary Wash,” and the Eagle logo.
There are currently over 30 licensees who produce a variety of goods, from apparel and accessories to keychains and plushies. The licensing office can work also with retailers to issue a license to a preferred vendor. Please contact Lauren Pilcher (lmcdonal@umw.edu) for a list of current licensed vendors and to confirm that product designs have been approved.
