Textbook Adoptions
Attention faculty: both summer and fall semester textbook adoptions are due Friday, April 3. Please submit your textbook adoption by visiting FacultyEnlight.com. This is the easiest way for faculty to submit all required, recommended or suggested course materials adoptions to the campus bookstore. If you require assistance in placing your adoptions, please reach out to Nicole Opper at the bookstore. Nicole can be reached at nopper@umw.edu.
New Baked Goods
Check out the store’s new baked good program from Bon Appetite. We now have a delicious assortment of muffins, honey buns, danishes, and donuts.

Vote for Catering at the University of Mary Washington to be “Best of the Burg” Caterer for 2020! Our team was voted Best of the Burg in 2019. Help us keep this honor for UMW! Mardi Gras Lunch
Mardi Gras lunch will be hosted at the Top of the UC on Tuesday, February 25th from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Menu will include Creole Jambalaya, Blackened Tilapia, Beignets and other Cajun and Creole dishes.
Faculty & Staff Dining Room Temporary Closing
The Faculty & Staff Dining Room will close after lunch on Thursday, February 27th for spring break . It will reopen on Monday, March 9th.
EagleOne
Patriot Subs
Have you visited our newest off campus merchant partner? Patriot Subs is located in Eagle Village. Their menu features a variety of subs and wraps as well as starters and smoothies. In addition to accepting EagleOne money, they also offer a 10% discount to military, vets, police, fire department, and first responders.
New Laundry Machines
Over the winter break, new laundry machines were installed for students. The machines now use an app called Speed Queen to accept payment and monitor laundry machines. Questions about the machines or use of the app may be directed to the EagleOne office at x1005.
Parking Management
Upcoming Changes to Annex Lot
The parking lot between Custis Hall and Fairfax House has a new name: Fairfax Lot. Upon completion of the Hillel Center, which is expected by the end of February, this lot will be reserved for Hillel use during the following days and times:
- Monday-Friday 5 p.m.– 11 p.m.
- All day Saturday and Sunday
Outside of the above hours, the lot will remain available for use by UMW faculty and staff.
Post Office
Congratulations!
Swiss Post Solutions (SPS), the vendor that operates the Post Office and Copy Center, has recognized UMW as their “Small Site of the Month.” Thank you to the team at the Post Office and Copy Center for their hard work and professionalism!
Mailing Options
The UMW Post Office mails out with both UPS and USPS. They are ready to assist with finding the best rates from each service, so stop by to consult with them on your shipping and mailing needs.
Contract Spotlight: Preferred Lodging Locations
UMW has three preferred lodging partners: Country Inn & Suites, Hyatt Place Fredericksburg, and Residence Inn. Information about how to make reservations can be found in the Preferred Lodging Guide, located in Sharepoint. Information that can be shared with visitors can be found on the Business Services website. In addition to several amenities and special UMW rates, each hotel also offers a limited number of complementary rooms available for UMW direct billed guests.
