Textbook Adoption Dates On time adoptions mean more used books available for students AND more money in students’ pockets through buyback. Please submit textbook/course material adoptions to the UMW Bookstore by the due dates so that the store can maximize payment to students for books they wish to sell. There is a $1,500* Pepsi Textbook Scholarship fund for students, offered to the first department to reach 100% on-time adoption rate. *In the event of a tie, funds will be divided. Special Orientation Hours The UMW Bookstore will have special orientation hours during the month of January. January 12-13: 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. January 14: 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. January 15-January 16: closed January 17-18: 8 a.m. - 8 p.m. January 19: 8 a.m. - 6 p.m. Normal hours will resume on the 20th. Regalia Rental for Faculty Faculty and staff will now have the opportunity to rent or purchase academic regalia from Oak Hall, UMW's official provider and the leading manufacturer of custom regalia in the country. Beginning January 11, 2017, faculty and staff may go online at https://oakhalli.com/colleges/umwfaculty to rent regalia for delivery directly to individual offices. Business Services Changes Beginning November 5, Business Services will undergo several administrative changes. Erma Baker, Assistant Vice President for Business Services and Chief Procurement Officer, will be leaving the University. Melva Kishpaugh will serve as UMW Interim Director of Procurement. She can be reached by email at mkishpau@umw.edu, or by phone at x1084. Kathy Sandor will serve as Interim Director of Business Services, overseeing the Bookstore, Copy Center, EagleOne, Licensing, Parking Management, Post Office, and Vending. She can be reached at kunderwo@umw.edu, or x1648. Melva and Kathy will report to Rick Pearce in the division of Administration and Finance.
