Dahlgren Campus Snow and Ice Management Plan:
First Priority:
(Priority I Level responsibilities shall be maintained continuously until the end of the snow/ice event.)
Emergency vehicle access – A minimum of a single lane from the entrance to the Campus to the parking lot area adjacent to the main entrance of the building and the service road.
Second Priority:
(Priority II Level responsibilities shall be cleared by 7:30 a.m. Monday through Friday, these areas will be maintained until 10:30 p.m. Snow removal and ice management will be done in order of the following priorities.)
Roadway from the Campus entrance to the parking lots and to the main entrance of the building and service area at the side of the building
Parking Lots
Main sidewalk to main entrance
Clear pedestrian access at handicap parking spaces in parking lots allowing good footing from vehicles to the sidewalk
Third Priority:
(Priority III Level responsibilities must be cleared by 3 PM, after priority II areas are completed.)
Main sidewalk from Service Area leading to the main building entrance
Service Area entrance and sidewalk
Forth Priority:
(Priority IV responsibilities must be cleared as soon as practical or as directed, not to exceed 24 hours after the end of the snow/ice event.)
Secondary sidewalk along entrance road
Dumpster access
Emergency exit areas
Drop inlets, drains, hydrants
