Visitors are defined as any person who is not classified as a member of faculty, staff, student, or vendor at UMW and will be at UMW for short periods of time. Visitors on the Fredericksburg campus should park in designated Visitor Parking locations.
- level #4 (top level) of the UMW Parking Garage located off U.S. Route 1 (certain spaces only. See map below).
- marked visitor spaces located on Double Drive immediately upon entering the University’s gates off College Avenue.
One day, one time visitors are not required to have a permit. However, overnight and frequent visitors do require permits. Visitor passes can be obtained from Parking Management in Lee Hall 110, University Police in South Hall, and the Eagle Landing front desk. Vehicle information will be required.
Prospective students and family members coming to campus to visit for the day are considered visitors and do not require any special passes provided they park in designated Visitor Parking.
