Here is a sample list of information that could be mailed, shared electronically, or handed to candidates who are invited to campus for an interview:
- Employee/faculty handbook
- Benefits synopsis
- College or university catalog
- Departmental brochure
- Organizational chart (e.g., department, institution, etc.)
- History of institution
- Annual reports
- Statement of mission, goals, objectives, and initiatives
- Links to pertinent websites
- Travel policies related to the cost and reimbursement expense for the interview
- Directions to the campus
- Information on parking or ground transportation related to the campus visit
- Information from the local chamber of commerce or area tourism authority (e.g., about housing, schools, or other relocation information, etc.)
- Favorable articles about the department, institution, or community
- Promotional materials
- Student admission brochures
- A welcome letter from the committee chair
