The UMW Employee Handbook for Administrative/Professional Faculty, Classified and Wage Employees has been updated and is effective as of May 25, 2017. This document combines content from previous versions of the Administrative and Professional faculty (A/P Faculty) Handbook, the Classified Employees Handbook, and the Wage Handbook. See the Introduction to the Employee Handbook for more information.
Note: In limited cases, departments may engage supplemental part time personnel, using employee agreements, to perform specified duties in exchange for agreed compensation. Examples include graduate assistants, professional development adjuncts, athletic interns, and assistant coaches. The provisions of this handbook that pertain to wage employees also pertain to these employees, unless explicitly excluded.
