State employees are in a position of public trust. Therefore, an employee may not accept gifts, gratuities, favors or rewards for any services s/he performs in connection with his/her employment other than from the University. Likewise it is unlawful for employees to solicit, offer or accept money or anything of value in exchange for appointment or selection to a position at a higher salary, or for special privilege with any state agency.
